Last year, the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle lineup underwent a big shakeup. Both Dyna and V-Rod models were discontinued, and a wide mix of engines still breathed in the remaining bikes. Forthings look a little more stable, but there are still some changes and innovations on the way.

The K model from which the Sportster was developed was the first Harley-produced bike with hydraulic shock absorbers on both wheels. We where there to ride the Street and Tour Glides, as well as new Sportster models. Doing duty as a backup bike for the support crew was a maroon Sport Glide. From the moment I saw it I felt that it was the most perfectly proportioned Harley I had ever seen! The more I studied it, the more the practical aspects of the bike emerged.

Harley-Davidson's lineup features ten new motorcycle models, the biggest new-product introduction in the company's history. The Low is powered by a fuel injected cc v-twin and achieves 45 mpg city, 60 mpg highway. The Harley 48 joins the Dark Custom family, and boasts a "classic bulldog shoulders stance.
